<p>Latest news &#8230; I have just returned from a course at the <a href="http://www.wealddown.co.uk/" target="_blank">Weald and Downland Open Air Museum</a>.</p>
<p>Joe Thompson of <a href="http://www.sussexoak.freeserve.co.uk/" target="_blank">Sussex Oak and Iron</a> ran the 5 day course where we learned to line out and scribe the rafters of traditional Oak gabled and hipped roofs. Working with timbers that are neither straight nor square, marking up is a very complex affair, but Joe is a superb teacher and has an excellent reputation as an Oak framer.</p>
